Photography has been a significant part of my life for as long as I can remember. I had my first camera before I had my first Barbie. Through the years I have tried to hone my skills and learn new techniques to create pieces that translated emotion along with strong imagery. My preference is to photograph in black and white and to capture spaces and places that have been abandoned and otherwise forgotten.
2017 was my debut year for public showings. Up until then my pieces were only shared among close friends and family. My first showing was with CAC at the Hospice of the Chesapeake in the "En Blanc et Noir" exhibit. Since that show I have been fortunate enough to have pieces in several shows in Hagerstown, Frederick and Harrisonburg, VA as well as various online gallery exhibits.
2018 has been off to a very busy start. I have several submissions in place for upcoming shows, both local and national. I am very excited for the feedback and hopefully a place in these exhibits. I am also putting together a proposal for a solo show at a local gallery here in Hagerstown. Hopefully spring will make an appearance sooner rather than later so I can spend more time out exploring and adding to my portfolio to get this proposal finished.
Thank you for visiting. You will notice that much of my work is in back and white. I really enjoy working in this genre and feel it allows me to best express myself and share my vision. I hope that you have enjoyed my work.
